'Aromatherapy can be defined as the controlled use of essential oils to maintain and promote physical, psychological and spiritual wellbeing'Gabriel Mojay

'Aromatherapy is a caring hands-on therapy which seeks to induce relaxation, to increase energy, to reduce the effects of stress and to restore lost balance to mind, body and soul'Robert Tisserand

What to expect during a treatment

At the beginning of the first treatment I would need to take any relevant information about your current state of health and wellbeing. From the information gathered, I will be able to blend essential oils that are suited to you on that particular day. It is important that the scent of the blend chosen is one that you like, so you will be asked to participate in choosing oils. Once you are happy with the blend it can be combined with a carrier oil to create the perfect massage oil for you. Each treatment thereafter, I will ask if there have been any changes to your health and again we would choose oils to suit you.

I will leave you to get undressed at the beginning of all treatments.

There are two massage options available; Back, Neck and Shoulders (half hour) or Full Body Massage (one hour)

Back Neck and Shoulders

You will need to remove clothes to your waist and loosening your skirt or trousers, and I will use a towel to protect your clothing from any oils.

Full Body

The removal of all clothes (except underwear or shorts) will be required and a towel will be provided to cover you. You will need to be able to initially lie face down, but I will ask you to turn over halfway through the treatment and I will ensure a towel will cover you at all times.

Once the massage begins I will ask if the pressure is ok, if at any time during the massage you feel that the pressure needs to change, just let me know and it can be adjusted.

At the end of the treatment you will be offered a glass of water and then left to gently get up and to get dressed.
